Chaudhary Kuldeep Singh was not merely a man of law but a beacon of hope for the marginalized in Jind, Haryana. ⁠Born in the humble village of Anta , Kuldeep Singh a son of maha Singh , he was Sarpanch for 40 years of Anta village & MLA of Jind state.
He rose from modest beginnings to become one of the region’s most revered criminal lawyers, dedicating his life to defending the voiceless and challenging injustice. His journey—rooted in resilience, intellect, and an unwavering moral compass—laid the foundation for what would later become the Ch. Kuldeep Singh Memorial Hospital & Trauma Centre, a testament to his enduring spirit of service.
Early Life & Education: The Making of a Visionary
Kuldeep Singh’s thirst for knowledge was evident from his youth. After completing his early education at RDJ School in Safidon , he pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Dayal Singh college karnal , affiliated with Punjab University. His academic journey culminated in a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the prestigious University of Delhi, where he honed his passion for justice and equity. A natural athlete, Kuldeep balanced his studies with sports, excelling in hockey and volleyball—a reflection of his disciplined yet compassionate character.
The Lawyer Who Fought for the Forgotten
Ch. Kuldeep Singh began his legal career in the Haryana Punjab High Court and later served as a criminal lawyer in the jind District Court. Known for his sharp wit and unyielding integrity, he became synonymous with fairness in Jind. He took on cases that others avoided, defending farmers, laborers, and the wrongly accused with equal fervor. His fluency in Hindi, English, and Persian , Urdu (learned during his studies) allowed him to bridge cultural divides, earning him the nickname “The People’s Advocate.” Colleagues admired his mantra: “Justice delayed is justice denied.”
Beyond the Courtroom: A Heart for Community
Kuldeep Singh’s legacy extended far beyond legal victories. He believed that true change began with uplifting communities. He organized free legal camps in rural areas, advocated for education for underprivileged children, and sponsored local sports tournaments to nurture young talent. His home in Avice was always open to those in need—a trait that inspired his family’s philanthropic values.
The Birth of a Healing Legacy
Tragically, Kuldeep Singh’s life was cut short, but his vision lived on. His grandson, Deepankar ( Vany) and daughter-in-law, Dr. Kanika MBBS (a distinguished Obstetrician & Gynaecologist ), vowed to honor his memory by addressing another critical need: accessible healthcare. “My grandfather stood for dignity in life; we wanted to ensure dignity in healing,” says Deepankar . Together, they established the Ch. Kuldeep Singh Memorial Hospital & Trauma Centre in Jind, embedding his principles into every brick:

My wife, Dr. Kanika Sheoran (Senior Obstetrician & Gynaecologist), and I are honored to uphold my grandfather’s vision by blending clinical expertise with heartfelt care.

A graduate of [Shree guru Govind Singh tricentry university Gurgaon ], Dr. Kanika Sheoran holds certifications in [, Ministry of health welfare department in TB MUKUT BHARAT and Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery & fellowship in Obs and gynae from Medcity ] and is an active member of Tb MUKUT Bharat Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI)]. Her philosophy—“Healthcare is not just treatment; it’s empowering women to make informed choices”—reflects her dedication to holistic, dignified care.
